Ukraine Factory Will Offer Shares to Its Employees
From Reuters
MOSCOW —
A Ukrainian factory will become the first in the Soviet Union to offer shares to its workers, state television reported Thursday.
The Lvov Conveyor Combine, an engineering firm in the western Ukrainian city of Lvov, is already handling its own finances under Kremlin reforms and will launch the new scheme next year, it said.
Shares would be offered to all the plant’s workers, it said without giving further financial details or making clear the size of the work force.
