‘Now It’s Buy a Gun, Go to Florida’

I would like to commend Peirce for standing up and pointing out what this new gun law is really going to do. More guns are surely not going to deter crime one bit. With the crime rates so high in Florida, I don’t see how they can put this law into effect. How is putting a gun in anybody’s hand going to deter crime?

Guns are not toys, and I think that is what Florida is making of them. Anyone who has a firearm should have a permit to carry that firearm. They should also be taught the safety rules of their firearm. No one should be allowed to carry a firearm in their hands without proper knowledge of safety rules.

I have spent the last five years working for a gun range, and have had personal experiences with those who have no knowledge of what they are doing or even of what they have. Everyone should have to take some kind of safety class to learn how to properly handle their gun.

I used to be an avid NRA fan but I can see my money has not gone to good use. The NRA has disgusted me in that it would take part in a law like this. I hope in the future the NRA will see what it has done and put a stop to it.
