S. Africa Tightens Border

GABORONE, Botswana —
South Africa has imposed stringent security checks at its border with Botswana, causing long traffic delays, the official Botswana Press Agency reported Wednesday. The action follows charges by Pretoria last week that senior Botswana government officials had met leaders of the outlawed African National Congress to discuss plans for launching guerrilla attacks from Botswana on South Africa.
