A judge today ordered two white supremacists convicted of civil-rights violations in the slaying of radio talk show host Alan Berg to serve 150 years in prison on top of their earlier sentences for racketeering.

U.S. District Judge Richard P. Matsch sentenced David Lane, 48, and Bruce Pierce, 33, and said they will have to serve at least 50 years of their sentences before they are eligible for parole. The two were tried, along with two others, on civil rights violations in the 1984 fatal shooting of Berg, who used his radio show to insult white supremacists and their beliefs. Jean Craig, 54, and Richard Scutari, 40, were acquitted.
