Preliminary explorations have uncovered off-shore natural gas reserves in the seabed off the southeastern coast of South Korea, but the economic feasibility study to give approval to full-scale exploitation will not be ready for a year, South Korean Energy Resources Minister Choi Chang-rak said. The natural gas deposit was struck Dec. 4 in an offshore area about 75 miles east of the city of Pusan.
