Hussein to Take Persian Gulf Peace Efforts to Emirates

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates —
King Hussein of Jordan will visit the United Arab Emirates today as part of a Gulf tour, his first since he hosted the Arab summit last month, diplomatic sources said.
They said he will discuss with regional leaders the Iran- Iraq War and his efforts to reconcile Syria and Iraq, at loggerheads ideologically and politically for nearly a decade.
Arab League leaders at their November summit reported headway in their bid to reconcile the two countries and empowered King Hussein to continue his efforts.
