The jury in the Howard Beach racial attack trial completed its eighth day of deliberations, listening again to a police officer’s trial testimony. The reading of the testimony of Officer Ronald Siegal marked the fourth time in the last two days that the jury requested testimony read back. The jury completed more than 12 hours of deliberations--close to 50 hours overall--before state Supreme Court Justice Thomas Demakos told them to “get a good night’s sleep” and return 9:30 a.m. today.
