U.S. Hockey Team Wins 5th Straight

INDIANAPOLIS —
Kevin Miller was credited with a third-period tie-breaking goal with his second score of the game Sunday night, lifting the U.S. Olympic hockey team to a 9-7 victory, its fifth straight over the Soviet Selects.
The USA leads 6-1 in the eight-game series against the Soviets that concludes Tuesday night at Lake Placid, N.Y. The Americans, 28-13-4 in pre-Olympic competition, have outscored the Soviets 55-26 in the series.
