Dartmouth Defeats USIU, 80-76, as Barton Scores Season-High 35
SAN DIEGO —
Jim Barton scored a season-high 35 points, including four three-pointers, to lead Dartmouth College to an 80-76 nonconference basketball victory over United States International University Sunday night in Golden Hall.
Dartmouth made 8 of 13 three-pointers. Dartmouth took the lead for good, 75-73, when Len Bazelek sank a three-pointer with 2:21 to play.
USIU gained its first lead of the game with 6:15 remaining. The Gulls led by as much as 71-67 in the final three minutes.
Russ Heicke led USIU (2-7) with 17 points. Dartmouth is 4-1.
