Citibank and Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank said they will link their automatic teller machine systems in January, allowing customers to use the automated teller facilities of both banks. New York-based Citibank is the largest commercial bank in the United States; Tokyo-based Dai-Ichi Kangyo is the largest in the world in terms of assets. Bank officials said it will be the first time a Japanese bank has linked its on-line branch network with that of a foreign bank.
