An Iranian gunboat blasted seven holes into the side of a loaded Norwegian oil tanker in the southern Persian Gulf, setting the 285,400-ton ship afire for a brief period. Shipping officia Big, was attacked 25 miles off the coast of Dubai and that there were no injuries aboard. The U.S. missile frigate Elrod sent a helicopter to check on the damage.
