South Korean opposition leader Kim Young Sam, blaming himself for losing the Dec. 16 presidential election, said he will seek a vote of confidence on whether to resign as head of the Reunification Democratic Party. At the same time, Kim’s party claimed that the ruling Democratic Justice Party obtained about 2 million votes by fraud. “More than 600,000 votes were stolen in absentee voting and at least 100 votes were stolen from each of the 13,675 polling stations,” said the interim report, which provided little proof.
