Gunmen killed another candidate running for regional and local offices in Philippine elections next month. The latest victim, Sergio Biolango, was believed to be the 16th candidate assassinated since campaigning began in December. Police said Biolango was gunned down by five men in the Mindanao island town of Jose Dalman, where he was running for town council on the government party ticket.
