President of Malawi Dissolves Cabinet

LILONGWE, Malawi —
President H. Kamuzu Banda dissolved Malawi’s 11-member Cabinet on Saturday and took personal charge of all ministries, a government spokesman announced.
No reason was given for the move. The Cabinet was named after a general election last June. Banda, who is president for life, has ruled the central African state since independence from Britain in 1964.
