‘Cunningham’s Calling’

Re: Your story on Mary Cunningham Agee’s support service for pregnant women and her comment that feminists have “betrayed” these women because they have not worked to provide alternatives to abortion: Who does she think has been working for equal pay for women, affordable child care and other job benefits that make it easier for women to raise children?

She would do better to ask Father Bill (Monsignor William Nolan) why the Catholic Church, which opposes birth control and abortion, has not joined feminists in working for equal pay, etc. If anyone has betrayed pregnant women, the church has.
