Daughter Charged in Effort to Hire Killer of Mother

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —
The FBI has charged the daughter of an heiress with trying to hire someone for $25,000 to kill her mother so she could inherit $2 million.
Mildred Margaret Trammell, 39, of Huntsville, was arrested Friday and freed on $5,000 bond. Her mother, Joan Van Zele of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., was not harmed.
