Antonio Lopez, sports director of Barcelona’s 1992 Olympic Organizing Committee, stepped down following a probe into his private financial situation, committee officials said. No details of the investigation were revealed, but Lopez allegedly transferred funds from the Spanish Motorcycling Federation into his personal account and ran up debts of more than $90,000 on federation credit cards.
