Curfews Lifted at 15 West Bank Camps
Associated Press
JERUSALEM —
Israel lifted curfews Sunday from all refugee camps in the occupied West Bank in a first cautious test of its new attempt to curb six weeks of violent protests in which at least 36 Palestinians have been killed.
The army said curfews were lifted from all 15 West Bank refugee camps and remained in force only in the village of Salfit, 15 miles north of Jerusalem.
Israel Television said military clampdowns on the occupied Gaza Strip’s eight refugee camps will be lifted in the coming days.
