A Loomis student who was penalized for missing class because of his trips to Washington and the Soviet Union will not receive a lower grade after all. His history teacher, Rolf Moeller of Del Oro High School, said senior Andy Leman, 18, would have received a B even without the penalty because he did not have enough points for an A. Moeller told the Sacramento Bee that Leman had mistakenly thought the points penalty would lower his grade from an A to a B. It was that concern that prompted the student to say he planned to call the governor’s office or the American Civil Liberties Union for help.
