Youth’s Return to Zimbabwe
I would be enraged to hear that an animal had been so treated. To read it about a child is sickening. Then to hear that our government would consider sending this child back to be further beaten by his father, while the mother watches approvingly, undermines any confidence I might have in our government being humanitarian in spirit. Justice is more important than technicalities of international law and compassion is absolutely necessary in such an extreme case as this. If this child is returned and tortured or killed, the inadequate reaction of our government will be to blame!
