NutraSweet is expected to introduce today a new low-calorie, low-cholesterol substitute for cooking oil. NutraSweet, which makes artificial sweeteners, is a subsidiary of St. Louis-based Monsanto Co. The company has said it would announce a “major revolution in food” but has been silent on details. It would not comment on a published report that it had developed a new fat substitute.
