Laos Offers Border Talks

BANGKOK, Thailand —
Laos has called for talks with Thailand next month to end “useless bloodshed” over a lingering border dispute, Laos state radio said. According to official reports, about 70 soldiers of the two countries have died fighting since August over the area.
