U.S. Skier Remains Hospitalized

A 17-year-old skier remained in the intensive care unit of a Denver hospital Friday after suffering a head injury in a ski slope crash at the U.S. Alpine Ski Championships in Crested Butte, Colo.

Ski team officials said Misha Moritz of Vail, Colo., was racing about 65 m.p.h. when he fell on the bottom third of the downhill course on Thursday.

He was taken by helicopter to St. Anthony Hospital in Denver.
