Cosby Joins in Reward for Attackers of Girl
Entertainer Bill Cosby and a magazine publisher offered a $25,000 reward today for information leading to the attackers of a black teen-ager who said she was racially and sexually assaulted by several white men.
“We hope this will bring some people forward,” Cosby said at a news conference with Ed Lewis, publisher of Essence magazine. The 16-year-old high school student from Wappingers Falls was found last November wrapped in a plastic bag along a road in Dutchess County, about 50 miles north of New York City. Racial slurs were scrawled over her body, authorities said.
