Paramount : 5 in the Running for 2 Seats
Five candidates, including two incumbents, are running in the April 12 municipal election for two open seats on the Paramount City Council.
Incumbents Esther Corona Caldwell and Gerald A. Mulrooney have filed for reelection. Caldwell served on the council from 1978 to 1982 before being defeated. She was reelected in 1984. Mulrooney was elected to the council in 1980.
The challengers are Frank Gonzalez, chairman of the city Planning Commission; Al Hatwan, who is also a planning commissioner, and Mike (Pete) Delivuk, a former city water commissioner.
