Ben Stein Story on Page One?

Jeannine Stein’s recent profile of writer Ben Stein sidestepped numerous land mines in objectively chronicling the emotional brouhaha surrounding GQ’s controversial Joan Rivers article.

Unfortunately, the fallout from the entire affair threatens to obscure the fact that Stein remains one of L.A.’s most insightful, observant writers in documenting the tragic downside of modern-day “glamour” and fame in Hollywood.
