Low-Income Housing OKd for Linda Vista

Share

The San Diego City Council voted Tuesday to place 34 units of low-income public housing on Fulton Street in Linda Vista despite strong objections from District 5 City Councilman Ed Struiksma that the housing counteracts years of effort to attract high-income projects to the neighborhood.

The 34 units were part of a 50-unit, $4.1-million public housing package that will be financed primarily by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
