Isn’t There a Way to Keep Joyner, Trade Port?

I’ve been a die-hard Angel fan from the day they were organized. Consequently, I’ve seen some pretty dumb club management tactics over the years.

Mike Port’s insecure and unnecessarily high-handed techniques in signing newer players and releasing older veterans smacks of pure incompetence and shortsightedness. The latest Port episode with Wally Joyner tells me that Wally might chose to play with another club next year, one where his exceptional talents will be appreciated.

If that should happen, Mr. Port, a lot of discouraged and plain disgusted former Angel fans will go right with him, me among them. Think about that, Port!
