Security Pacific plans to close three branches...

Security Pacific plans to close three branches and lay off 150 people by consolidating three data processing centers into one. The layoffs are in addition to that of about 100 people in the bank’s regional division offices who lost their jobs in the past few weeks through additional consolidations. The branches to be closed are in the South Bay, Huntington Beach and Fresno. A spokeswoman said no decisions have been made on whether additional branches will be closed or whether more people will be laid off through further consolidations.
