Noriega and Drug Smuggling
Let’s pause for a minute and analyze just what is going on here:
Nancy Reagan has been stumping her way across America for the last seven years urging our youth to say “no” to drugs while her hubby, Ronnie, our President, is paying Noriega, another one of those friendly fascists our state department and the CIA love so well, to run guns to those wonderful commie killers--Freedom Fighters--in Nicaragua and to open a drug pipeline from Colombia to the U.S.
So, what we conclude is that the needle-riddled bodies of our youth and the concomitant crime and social disintegration that come with the marketing, sale, and use of illegal drugs are less important than thwarting the threat of communism in Central America for fear that it will worm its ineluctable way into the hearts and minds of peasants from Panama to Tijuana.
You’ve got to hand it to Nancy and Ronnie--they’re at once a measure of and a credit to all those who voted for them.
