Apple Computer Inc. is developing a laptop computer that it hopes to introduce next year, according to Macintosh Today magazine, which printed details of the project. The San Francisco Examiner reported that the article on the Laguna laptop model was based on a confidential document given to a free-lance writer by an Apple employee. The article describes a 12-pound laptop with a flat-panel monitor and a central processor that can run Macintosh software. The magazine said the system will come with one megabyte of internal memory and will be powered by a five-pound lead-acid battery that will last up to 10 hours before recharging.
