Jimmy Swaggart’s Tearful Confession

My compliments to the writer of the editorial “The Human Comedy” (Feb. 23). Not only is it well written but it nails the entire rotten con game played by the religious buccaneers on television. The political ramifications of these series of scandals, exposing the total hypocrisy of the televangelistic mafia, will no doubt be quite large. There’s hope that they will definitely doom one of the above mentioned group’s preposterous bid for the White House. Of course, having had an actor in there for eight years, why not have one of them? Which is worse?
