Auto Show Opens With 400 Vehicles

The 29th annual Orange County International Auto Show opens today and runs through March 6 in the new exhibit buildings at Anaheim Stadium. More than 400 new cars, trucks, vans and four-wheel-drive models will be on display.

A highlight of the show is the introduction of the British-manufactured $180,000 Aston Martin Lagonda, making its first appearance in the United States. The show offers a preview showing of the 1989 Ford Probe sports hatchback. Pontiac will be featuring the Grand Prix, named Car of the Year by Motor Trend magazine, and Jeep will debut its new Wrangler S.

Show hours are 2-10 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today and next Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $4 for adults; $2 for seniors and 6 to 12-year-olds; children under 6 admitted free.
