Britons Want S. Africa to Drop Union Jack

LONDON —
South Africa should remove the Union Jack from its flag because the emblem of the United Kingdom shouldn’t be associated with “this racist regime,” British political leaders said Saturday.
Lawmakers from all three major political parties urged British Foreign Secretary Geoffrey Howe to ask South Africa to alter its flag.
