Successful Trident Launch Ends Streak of 3 Failures

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — A Navy Trident 1 missile was launched successfully Saturday from a submerged submarine off Cape Canaveral, ending a streak of three Trident failures, officials said. The missile was fired down the Air Force Eastern Space and Missile Test Range and landed in the Atlantic Ocean.
