Micro D, a Santa Ana-based distributor of personal computer products, has signed a distribution agreement with Miniscribe, a fast-growing manufacturer of computer disk drives. Micro D Chairman Linwood A. (Chip) Lacy declined to estimate revenues resulting from the pact, but he described the deal as “very significant” for his firm. Under the agreement, Micro D will help Colorado-based Miniscribe expand its distribution into the retail computer market. Micro D also announced a distribution agreement with Manzana MicroSystems, a Goleta-based manufacturer of 3.5-inch floppy disk drives.
