Four Killed by Sikh Militants in Punjab

CHANDIGARH, India —
Sikh militants armed with submachine guns and pistols killed four suspected police informers Wednesday in separate attacks in northern Punjab state, police said.
Police said the attacks were staged by groups of three to four gunmen and all occurred in villages in the district around the Sikh holy city of Amritsar, 150 miles northwest of Chandigarh.
