Western Digital has completed its acquisition of Tandon Corp.’s disk drive business for $49 million in cash and other considerations. Under the deal, which was announced last December and completed Tuesday, Irvine-based Western Digital will assume about $28 million in Tandon debt. The acquisition includes Tandon facilities in San Jose, Singapore and Santa Clara. Chatsworth-based Tandon will retain its personal computer business. Western Digital manufactures computer storage, communications, video controller and logic-processing equipment.
