Local News in Brief : Official to Join Cranston
Avalon City Councilman Gilbert Soldana will join the staff of U. S. Sen. Alan Cranston (D-Calif.) as a field representative in Los Angeles County later this month.
Soldana will be one of two field representatives in the county, serving as a liaison between the senator and his constituents.
After two terms on the City Council, Soldana decided not to seek reelection.
