4 Uzbeki Officials Fired for Cheating, Pravda Reports

MOSCOW —
Four Uzbekistan officials, including Deputy Premier Gulyam Z. Zakhritdinov, were dismissed after Pravda revealed they had falsified economic reports, the newspaper said Sunday.
The Communist Party newspaper said the officials of the Central Asian republic had deceived the state by inflating figures in the Transport Ministry’s reports on fulfillment of economic plans.
