Three black South African policemen were killed and two other people were wounded when two black men opened fire with automatic rifles on a group of people at a private residence in Atteridgeville township, west of Pretoria, police said. The attack was so sudden that none of the officers was able to fire back at the attackers, who fled on foot, police added. It was not clear if the policemen were on duty at the time. Meanwhile, police said they had captured two alleged terrorists and two collaborators and seized some arms in roadblocks set up in central Transvaal province in an attempt to find those responsible for a car bomb attack Thursday in the town of Krugersdorp that killed three people and injured 20.
