American speed skater Bonnie Blair won the 1,500-meter race at Heerenveen, Netherlands, in the final series of the World Cup skating circuit Sunday.
Blair, who won a gold and a bronze medal in the Calgary Olympics, was timed in 2 minutes 5.67 seconds.
Blair was well ahead of her opponents, Dutch skater Petra Moolhuizen and Erwina Rys of Poland, who both finished in 2:06.52.
Katie Class of the United States was fifth.
Blair finished first in the overall World Cup 1,500-meter standings.
