The brother of former South Korean President Chun Doo Hwan has admitted to embezzling millions of dollars and will be charged with corruption, prosecutors said. Chun Kyung Hwan made a partial confession after being interrogated for 20 hours about his activities as head of the Saemaul rural development program, senior prosecutor Kang Won Il said. The younger Chun, who at first denied any wrongdoing and continues to deny selling government influence or diverting funds overseas, eventually broke down and confessed to embezzlement, Kang said.
