Two young Vietnamese men were fatally wounded by shotgun blasts fired from a car that pulled alongside theirs at a traffic light in Koreatown Saturday afternoon, police said.
One victim died at the scene and the other died two hours later at County-USC Medical Center, said Lt. Ken Espiau, who would not release the identities of the victims. No motive was known.
The two victims had been driving north on Vermont Avenue about 2:30 p.m. with four other friends, when a vehicle with three young Latino men pulled beside them at the 8th Street stoplight, police said.
