Newsweek magazine has decided to end its special editions, Newsweek on Campus and Newsweek on Health, both of which have been losing money. No editorial staff members will lose their jobs but six space sellers for the publications will be let go, said Diana Pearson, Newsweek’s communications director. The publications’ revenue came solely from advertising. Newsweek on Health, a quarterly that prints 500,000 copies and mails them to 250,000 doctors’ and dentists’ offices, will bow out after the spring issue. Newsweek on Campus will have two more editions, in May and September.
