Selling the Boss

Share

Yes, I consider myself a “real” Bruce fan. Yet, I didn’t hear about it, I wasn’t reached, I don’t have tickets and I’m upset (“What’s the Ticket to Halt the Brokers?,” by Robert Hilburn, April 16)!

The research of Brian Murphy of Avalon Attractions showing that radio and word of mouth are effective ways to reach the real fans, is a joke. His concern to limit the number of tickets that brokers can get obviously takes priority over the fairness of how they are distributed.

Giving everybody fair notice and the same chance at getting tickets is the only fair and decent way to do it.

There will always be people who would rather make money and sell their tickets than see Bruce; or they sell them for a good price and settle for a downgrade in seating. I can honestly say, if the day ever comes when I get top seats for a Bruce concert, I wouldn’t sell them for anything!
