The manufacturer of wooden baby swings that could collapse is offering free replacements, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Monday.

Involved are more than 6,000 swings sold under the Sears and Hedstrom brand names that were manufactured by Hedstrom Corp. of Bedford, Pa., between April and December, 1987, the commission said. Consumers can return the swing to the place of purchase for replacement.
