Local News in Brief : Irvine : Temporary Housing Head Plans to Resign
James Palmer, executive director of Irvine Temporary Housing Inc., has told his board of directors that he intends to resign after the board concludes a study of the city’s temporary housing program.
Palmer was a founding board member of Irvine Temporary Housing in December, 1985. He told the board in a meeting Tuesday that he plans to pursue a career in health care resource development. On Tuesday, the board began a search for a new executive director.
The ITH has joined the city of Irvine in applying for a federal loan to provide transitional housing for the needy. The $430,000 loan request still is being considered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
