Feminists

As a feminist, I was pleased to learn from Secretary of Education William J. Bennett that most universities are “controlled by . . . a combination of Marxism and feminism” (“Bennett Draws Fire in Stanford Talk Assailing Course Change,” April 19).

My experience over the last 20 years in universities would not have led me to that conclusion--I would have thought that most colleges and universities are controlled by conservative wealthy white males. But no doubt the secretary of education has access to information that is not available to me.
