It is amazing to me that “Spenser: For Hire” does not fare better in the ratings. In my opinion, the show’s popularity is likely to grow in syndication for many of the same reasons the original “Star Trek” series did: The characters are intriguing, the stories are riveting and each show has something to say about this thing called life. “Spenser” is a quality show in every sense of the word.
